Tips for a photo that won't get rejected

  • Stand in front of a plain white or light wall, facing a window for even light.
  • Keep your face straight, eyes open, and both ears visible if possible. No caps or dark glasses.
  • Use a recent photo. Many notices reject photos older than three months.
  • For signatures, use a black ball-point or gel pen on plain white paper, and photograph from directly above.

Frequently asked questions

Why does the portal reject my photo even though it looks fine?

Most rejections come from the file size (KB) or pixel size being outside the allowed range, a dark or busy background, or a scanned signature with grey shadows. This tool fixes all three and shows a green tick only when the file is within range.

My signature file is below the minimum KB. How do I make it bigger?

Small images naturally compress to tiny files. When that happens, the tool adds invisible padding inside the JPEG so the file reaches the minimum size. The picture itself is unchanged and opens normally everywhere.

Are my photos uploaded to your server?

No. Everything runs inside your browser. Your photo and signature never leave your phone or computer, which you can confirm by turning off the internet after the page loads.

What if my exam isn't listed?

Use Custom size. Enter the width, height and KB limits printed in your notification and the tool will produce a matching file.

Is 1 KB 1000 bytes or 1024 bytes?

Portals differ. To be safe, the tool aims for a size that passes under both definitions, so a 20 to 50 KB limit is met whichever way the portal counts.
