Privacy policy

PerfectUpload is built so that we never need your personal files. This policy explains what that means in practice, in plain language. It is written to meet India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the EU and UK GDPR.

Your files stay on your device

Every photo, signature, ID card and PDF you use with our tools is processed by code running in your own browser. Your files are not uploaded to our servers or anyone else's, and we cannot see, store or recover them. When you close the page, they are gone from our side because they were never there.

What we do collect

• Basic server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical data such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. These logs are kept for a short period by the provider.
• Privacy-friendly analytics. If enabled, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not track you across sites. It tells us which pages are visited so we know which tools to improve.
• Preferences on your device. We store your light or dark theme choice in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.
• Messages you send us. If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply.

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not sell personal data.

Advertising

To keep the tools free, we may show ads served by Google. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Where the law requires it, including in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, we ask for your consent first using a Google-certified consent tool, and you can change your choice at any time. You can also manage personalised ads at Google Ad Settings. Ads never have access to the files you process.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, withdraw consent, and raise a grievance. In practice we hold almost nothing beyond emails you send us. To make a request, write to hello@perfectupload.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

Our tools are general-purpose and not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
