How to use it

  1. Drop one or more JPG or PNG images.
  2. Choose the DPI you need, such as 300.
  3. Download the updated files.

DPI vs pixels

An image's pixels decide its detail. DPI only decides how big it prints: a 600-pixel-wide image prints 2 inches wide at 300 DPI, or 8.3 inches at 72 DPI. If a form needs a specific print size too, use the resize tool.

Frequently asked questions

Does changing DPI change image quality?

No. For JPG and PNG, only the resolution label stored inside the file changes. Every pixel stays identical, and the file size barely moves.

Why does a form ask for 300 DPI?

DPI tells printers how large to print the image. 300 DPI is the standard for sharp prints, so some portals and print shops check it.

I need more pixels, not just a new DPI. What should I use?

Use the image resizer, enter the print size in cm or inches, and set 300 DPI. It calculates and produces the right pixel dimensions.
